Only 3.05 lakh students or 66 per cent of total 4.63 lakh students who wrote their Intermediate examinations in science subjects could pass this year. In 2013, 92 per cent of 3.62 lakh students had succeeded.
In Intermediate commerce results, 63,416 boys and girls or 82.6 per cent of total 76,734 students passed this year in comparison to 94.4 per cent of 72,510 students in 2013.
Among science students only 18.7 per cent or 86,702 boys and girls secured first division marks. Ravish Kumar of DAV High School, Danapur Cantonment, Patna topped in the science exam with 425 out of 500 marks.
In commerce, just 11.9 per cent or 9,147 students got first division marks. Avinash Kumar of Gaya College, Gaya topped with 398 marks out of 500.
