Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan offered prayers at the Baidyanath temple here on Tuesday, officials said.
The governor took the foot over-bridge to enter the inner sanctum and offered water to the "Dwadas Jyotirling" in the holy month of sawan.
Five priests chanted shlokas as the governor paid obeisance.
Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha and Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar Singh were present during the governor's visit to the temple.
