A businessman allegedly planned an attack on himself in order to implicate those he owed money to, following which he was arrested along with three others who were involved in the plan in southwest Delhi's Sagarpur, the police said today.
On June 2, Kamal Kishore Jain told police that when he was sitting in his office, two men came on a scooter and opened fire at him.
He expressed suspicion about the involvement of Ravi Jindal whom he owed some money to.
Police interrogated Jain's servant Rahul who stated that Jain had a lot of debt. He had borrowed a lot of money from the people of his locality. He had not even given Rahul's salary from last two months.
Asked repeatedly to pay the salary, Jain told Rahul that he would give his salary if he introduced him with some criminals, the police said.
Rahul introduced him to two persons and Jain hatched a conspiracy to execute an attack on himself.
Subsequently, Jain and the others were arrested.
