In Bihar Sharif, the headquarter of Nalanda district where the alleged rape took place on February 9, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi sat on dharna with other BJP and NDA allies leaders and workers.
Talking to reporters at the dharna venue near a hospital, Sushil Modi alleged that the RJD MLA was still out of reach of the police as he was enjoying "state protection."
In capital Patna, the women wing of the BJP and allies Hindustani Awam Morcha, LJP and RLSP organised protest at state BJP office.
Former JD(U) minister and now a BJP leader Renu Kushwaha made a scathing attack at the CM over the MLA "remaining out of bound for police" despite the incident of rape taking place in CM's home district of Nalanda.
The fugitive MLA has approached the Patna High Court for anticipatory bail. The HC is scheduled to hear his petition on coming Monday.
