"I think they have to spend a little time, looking at the different things that they are saying and also the different things that they have said in the past. Once they give us a bottomline on what they are saying, we will respond," Khurshid who was speaking to reporters here said.

"It is very difficult to respond to shifting stance. Everyday they say something different, something new. Somebody says FDI is fine but the timing is wrong. Somebody says we did want FDI in 2004 but we can change our mind, we've changed our mind," he told reporters.

The Law Minister was responding to BJP leadership's statements that the party would oppose multi brand retail.

"I don't think that the games that they play for themselves should be requiring a response," Khurshid and added that the decision to implement FDI was a farsighted one which would benefit farmers.

Khurshid denied that the DMK's suggestion that the limit on subsidised LPG cylinders should be raised was proving to be a sticking point within the UPA.

"Nothing is a sticking point. If somebody has a good idea why should we not listen. And why should they not listen to something which we have to explain are the circumstances under which we've taken a decision," Khurshid said.

"Once a decision is taken, one expects that decision would be implemented and then people will not come back with new arguments each day. But if somebody has a good idea, we'll obviously be willing to listen. Let's see what dialogue still is required," he said.

Khurshid remarked that alliance partners had to keep talking all the time.

He parried questions on possibility of a cabinet reshuffle in the near future.
