Maharashtra BJP chief Davendra Fadanvis today said the party will form the next government on its own in the state, as the campaigning for October 15 polls came to an end.
In a statement, Fadanvis said BJP held a total of 715 public meetings during the campaigning for elections to 288 Assembly seats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 27 rallies, while party's national president Amit Shah addressed 17 public meetings.
Fadanvis, touted to be a front-runner for the Chief Minister's post if BJP comes to power, addressed about 60 meetings.
Apart from Modi and Shah, union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Prakash Javadekar, Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharti, Venkaiah Naidu and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states such as Shivraj Singh Chouahn, Raman Singh, Manohar Parrikar and Vasundhara Raje campaigned in the state, the statement noted.
