BJP vice president and Central observer Dr Dinesh Kumar Sharma today claimed his party would form the next government in Uttar Pradesh on its own.
Not only ruling Samajwadi Party in UP, but all other parties are forging alliance to contest against BJP because his party is united and has formed government on its its own in the past, Sharma, observer in party's Rajasthan and Gujarat organisational polls, told a press conference here.
Popularity of the BJP due to its leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rising sharply, and Congress has lost its ground in UP, he said here at a programme where Ashok Parnami was re-elected party's Rajasthan chief.
On a question whether Varun Gandhi could be a chief ministerial candidate in UP, as speculated by a section of media, Sharma said, the party takes unanimous decision on such major issues with opinions of its workers and leaders.
Reminded of BJP's performance in Bihar polls, he said the percentage of votes share has increased and his party either wins or learns but never loses in polls.
Speaking on the disruptions in Parliament he said Congress was indulging in vote bank politics and not allowing the Houses to run as it is frustrated over losing grounds in state and Centre's polls.
Amit Shah, the party president, was to attend the programme at Jaipur today, could not come due to other engagements, he said, adding training programme of the state unit would be planned later on in consulation the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
