BJYM welcomes proposed recommendations in recruitment policy

State unit of of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today welcomed the new proposed recruitment policy of the J&K government terming it 'youth friendly' which would help curb the menace of unemployment.
"We have read the recommendations in a newspaper and we welcome the policy as it is youth friendly and would help to end the unemployment menace in the state," BJYM state President Suresh Ajay Magotra told reporters here today.
The Cabinet Sub-committee has recommended the provision of reservation under various categories (of the youth) on Contractual and adhoc basis in J&K. This was not applicable to earlier recruitment policy framed by BJP-PDP government.

It also recommend that members from Public Service Commission (PSC) and Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) will be included in the district level recruitment panels under the said job policy.
Terming the employment policy proposed by the previous national conference and congress government as anti youth, Magotra said that the current policy would help the youth in the state.
"The NC and congress had be-fooled the youth by rolling out a policy which was anti youth but the current policy is youth friendly and the youth wing welcome the new policy," he said.

He also said that the BJYM would felicitate the Yoga teachers of Jammu region on the world Yoga Day on June 11.

As its 'ambitious' new contractual recruitment policy bitterly backfired following massive opposition, Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed Government on Saturday last had said that it will soon unveil a new policy as Cabinet Subcommittee is process to give final shape to it.
"A new recruitment policy will soon be unveiled to engage qualified youth so that shortage of doctors in peripheral areas is addressed", Chief Minister said in Rajouri on Saturday last.
On April 19, Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Ordinance-2015 was approved by the Cabinet and it was later submitted to the Governor, who returned it back.
Under the new policy, the persons appointed on contractual basis would have been regularised after putting in seven years of "satisfactory service".

The minimum pay during the contractual period of an appointee would have been anything between Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 per month.
The government had announced that the decision would help it fill around 12,000 vacancies of assistant surgeons, lecturers and teachers from the human resource available at the district level. The government had planned to make it a permanent recruitment policy.
On May 19, The ruling PDP-BJP coalition has finally adopted a course correction by announcing the formation of a Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) to review its 'ambitious' recruitment policy.
