Black pepper weakens on lower demand
Press Trust of India Mumbai Black pepper prices weakened further at the spices market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Elsewhere, ginger unbleached also eased further due to poor offtake from stockists and retailers.
Copra office alapuzha and copra office kozhikode closed unchanged today.
While, other spices held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Black pepper dropped by Rs 10/10 per kg to Rs 610/680 from Thursday's close at Rs 620/690.
Ginger unbleached also moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 135 as against Rs 140 yesterday.
