"Blacklist all those contractors who have failed to meet the prescribed norms and the set deadlines," Minister for Roads and Buildings (R&B), Abdul Majid Wani said during a meeting here.
The meeting was held to review the financial and physical status of on-going projects being executed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) and R&B sector in erstwhile Doda District.
The minister was informed that the works allotted to 30 contractors in the district have been terminated after the later were found lacking in meeting the set conditions.
Wani stressed on the need for time-bound completion of on-going projects for the benefit of the people and directed the concerned officials to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPR), keeping in view the feasibility and cost effectiveness of the identified projects.
"Visit the project sites, accelerate the pace of works and achieve the set targets. There would be no compromise on quality of work and the erring officials would be dealt severely," Wani told the officials.
