The logistics company had reported a net profit of Rs 27.13 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The total income from operations increased to Rs 653.01 crore during the quarter as against Rs 588.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Total expenses stood at Rs 573.68 crore as against Rs 550.78 crore, the company said in a BSE filing.
Blue Dart Express Limited Managing Director Anil Khanna said, "The economy has had a fair share of challenges this quarter which has decelerated growth for the express industry.
He added: "Our commitment to deliver excellent service quality, high customer satisfaction and innovative methods to enhance our service offerings in Blue Dart Country has been persistent.
The shares of the company closed 1.67 per cent down at Rs 6,148.65 apiece on the BSE.
