The city unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today submitted to BJP a list of 92 people, aspiring to fight the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls.
The list of aspirants was handed over to BJP's city unit president Ashish Shelar.
Mohit Kamboj, the Mumbai chief of BJYM, the youth wing of BJP, said the aspirants represent different the sections of the society.
"I handed over the list to Shelarji and requested him to give tickets to as many as possible. These aspirants include professionals such as doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants and social workers. They represent different categories- SC, ST, OBC and general," he said.
They are active members of the party and have an urge to do something for the betterment of the society, he said.
The BJYM's city unit has already launched a campaign on the social media titled as 'Youth for MCGM (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai).
"Since I represent the party's youth, it my duty to do the needful to ensure their greater participation in the upcoming elections," Kamboj said.
