Body found near SP's residence in Bihar's Nalanda

A dead body was found near the residence of the Superintendent of Police of Bihar's Nalanda district on Friday, police said.

The body was found 300 metres from the SP's residence in Magadh Colony of Bihar Sharif town, an officer said.

"The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Ravi Kumar, a resident of Purani Sangat area under Sohsarai police station limits in Bihar Sharif," Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Imran Parvez said.

He said unidentified persons had shot Ravi Kumar dead and dumped his body near the SP's residence.

Parvez said the CCTV footage of the area is being checked and no arrests have been made so far.

The deceased, who worked at a grocery shop, was taken away from his residence by unidentified persons on Thursday night, police sources said.

The body was spotted by morning walkers, who then informed the police, they said.
