Body of 60-yr-old farmer found with throat slit

The body of a 60-year-old farmer was found with his throat slit at Vaili village here, police said.
Kamruddinn had gone to collect grass from the village under Budhna police station. He was later found murdered in the fields yesterday, they said, adding, the body has been sent for post mortem and investigation into the case is on.
Earlier on November 6, tension mounted in Shahpur town of the district after a middle-aged trader was shot dead by unidentified assailants.
Following the murder of Irffan (40), angry locals went on a rampage, damaging shops, houses and setting three motorcycles on fire.

Muzaffarnagar district has recently seen a series of communal clashes.
In a separate incident, a 20-year-old youth was beaten to death yesterday at Harinagar village here.
Manoj was having an affair with a girl and was murdered by the girl's family when they found out their relationship, police said.
A case was registered against seven persons and five of them have been arrested in this connection, they said.
