Body with throat slit found in paddy field in Jalpaiguri

The body of a 50 year old man with his throat slit was recovered from a paddy field in Dhupguri today, a police officer said.
Police identified the man as Nityananda Singha Roy but were yet to determine from where he hailed.
A pair of handgloves and a knife were also found near the body in the field, the officer said.
Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service to assist in the investigation, the officer said.
