"Acting on specific information, a police party headed by SHO Qazigund raided a Dhaba at Nipora-Vessu belonging to Manzoor Ahmed Rather alias Mansatta in Qazigund.
"On search of the Dhaba, police recovered 3600 pouches of illicit liquor and 140 bottles of beer," a police spokesman said.
He said police took the accused in custody and and registered a case under section 50 Excise Act against him.
The arrested person is an accused in nine other similar cases registered in Police station Qazigund, he added.
