Bosch board appoints Bernhard Straub as chairman

Auto components major Bosch on Friday said its board has appointed Bernhard Straub as Chairman with effect from August 24, 2019.

Considering the recommendations of the nomination and remuneration committee, the board has approved the appointment of Straub, currently non-executive, non-independent Director, as an additional director designated as a Chairman of the board, Bosch Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

The board, in its meeting held on Friday, has also accepted the resignation of V K Viswanathan as Chairman and Director of the company with effect from August 23, 2019, as a part of succession planning, it added.
