The Goan fans gathered at the airport today to have a glimpse of their favourite teams who arrived here ahead of their match on October 13.
Germany, who along with Guinea are in a must-win suitation, departed this afternoon to play their last league encounter at Cochin.
Just like Goa, Brazil, who were also ruled by the Portuguese, have the same culture and the team will have no difficulty in adjusting themselves in the conditions here.
They now play their last match against debutant Niger and will look to complete their league engagement with all win.
Debutant Niger, on the other hand, had a dream start in this tournament when they won their opening encounter against North Korea but then lost to Spain in the second match.
With Brazil already qualified for the knock out round from group D, the second team from this group to qualify will be decided between Spain and Niger, who have three points each.
Around 2000 fans from Kholapur are going to come to see their favourite team in action. They along with the goan fans as well as some Brazilian, who are staying here are going to cheer for Brazil.
"We are happy to come down to Goa, the place is similar to Brazil and we feel at home here as the weather is same like Brazil," said media manager Gregorio.
"We are happy to play our last match of the league down in Goa as there are lot of Brazilian fans staying here and they will come to cheer our team.
