BSES restores power to Loni after Delhi govt intervenes

The discom had earlier in the week discontinued the power supply to residents of Gokulpur and Loni alleging that they got the connections based on questionable documents as the area falls in Uttar Pradesh.

The residents have complained to the Delhi Government and Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna against the discom and demanded restoration of the supply.

After a meeting at Raj Bhavan yesterday, the BSES was told by the government to continue supply of power to the residents till the issue was thoroughly examined by the authorities, officials said.
