BSF Jawan swept away in Chenab river to Pakistan

A BSF jawan was swept away by the waters of Chenab river flowing to Pakistan after his boat developed some snag in Akhnoor belt of Jammu district today.
The incident took place when the boat, ferrying BSF jawans, developed some fault in Chenab river close to Chenab Observation Post in Akhnoor belt of Jammu district, a BSF official said.
While five jawans jumped off the boat to save themselves, jawan Sataysheel Yadav of 33rd battalion of BSF was swept away in the strong water currents of the river.
BSF will make contact with their Pakistan counterparts to inform them about the incident and receive any information on the same, he said.
