Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in BSF radio operator paper leak here, police said today.
Hariom Sharan Bharti alias Babloo of Jaunpur and Sunil Mishra of Varanasi were arrested late last night for their alleged involvement in BSF paper leak, IG, STF, Sujit Pandey said.
The paper of BSF for the post of radio operator was held yesterday at 18 centres across the country.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the duo and questions of the examination were found from them, he said.
During verification, BSF confirmed that in the first set, 36 of over 180 questions had matched from the actual question paper, Pandey said.
The two arrested were key players of the paper leak gang, which had charged Rs two to Rs 5 lakhs from candidates promising their question and solution of the BSF paper, he said.
About modus operandi of the gang, Pandey said there were three layers of their operation.
"First is leaking question papers, second is of solvers who write solution of the questions and the last one is of examinees, who make payment for success in examination," he said, adding, while solvers have been identified the probe is on to identify those who got the paper leaked.
"We are probing on how and from where the paper was leaked. We are working out on the case and more arrests would follow," Pandey said.
An FIR in this regard was today registered by the BSF at Mohanlalganj police station here, Pandey said.
