Builder fells 100 trees in Greater Noida

On World Environment Day today a builder allegedly uprooted about hundred trees here without seeking approval of the Forest Department and Greater Noida Authority.
Raja Mavi, a social worker, alleged that the builder felled the trees in the green belt for creating a passage to his construction site in sector Omicron.
Anand Mohan, Senior Manager of Horticulture Department, Greater Noida Authority, said, "We have received information about the illegal felling of trees by the builder."
"Necessary legal action will be taken against him," he added.
