However, the police is not sure whether it is burglary or the handiwork of people known to the house owner, the police official said.
Gajuwaka (Crime Branch) police inspector P Koteswara Rao said that a retired employee of the endowments department A Babu Rao built a new two-storied house in the Kailashnagar area, where he and his family, including his sons stayed.
On June 13 night, Babu Rao and his family slept in the first floor of the building. Though the doors on the ground floor were locked, doors of their rooms were open, the police official said.
The police official said that is is yet to be ascertained as to how many people are involved in the offence and how the burglars gained easy entry into the house.
