Ambattur police during their regular patrol duty on the wee hours of Sunday, entered into the plant following the noise coming out of the Dunlop Tyre factory premises and prevented burglary of the machinery and equipment that were being loaded into a truck, a police release said.
Two persons K Anoop Kumar (27) and R Krishnamoorthy (28), who were working as the security guards of the plant were nabbed for the crime, initial investigations revealed.
Eight sets of truck mould, three units of 40 HP BIS motor valued at Rs 45 lakh that were being loaded in a truck was seized by the police, it said.
