Cab driver held for molesting 10-year-old girl

A cab driver was arrested today for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl whom he used to drop home after school in south-west Delhi's Dwarka area.
The 26-year-old driver, Shiv Kumar, used to show the girl obscene video clips on his mobile phone for the past three months, said a police official.
Kumar even threatened the girl of dire consequences if she told anyone about it, he said.
The matter came to light when the traumatised girl refused to board the cab following which the school administration called her parents, he said, adding, the girl then told her parents about it after which the driver was arrested from his residence at Som Vihar area.

The accused has been booked under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a school attendant was apprehended for allegedly molesting a six-year-old boy in west Delhi's Uttam Nagar area.

The 55-year-old attendant, identified as Ram Sahay Mehto, used to touch the boy inappropriately, police said.
The victim told his parents about the incident following which they reported the matter to the school authorities who then called up the police control room and subsequently Mehto was arrested, police said.
The accused has been booked under POCSO Act and the matter is being investigated, police said.
