"The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been apprised of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-ln)... And the US Homeland Security Department on cooperation in the field of cyber security," an official statement said.
The agreement was signed on January 11, 2017, in New Delhi.
The MoU intends to promote closer co-operation and exchange of information pertaining to cyber security in accordance with relevant laws, rules and regulations and on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.
IIC is a group of nearly 2,000 Indian cyber security experts.
