Supporters of MDMK Chief Vaiko and Naam Tamizhar Katchi Supremo Seeman clashed at the airport here today forcing the police to intervene and disperse them.
The cadre from both sides began attacking one another with flag poles, leaving a member of Naam Tamizhar Katchi unconscious and a few others were injured, police said adding the clash broke out after both the groups raised slogans in support of their respective leaders.
Police intervened and separated the groups that had gathered at the airport to welcome their leaders who arrived here by the same flight, they said.
No arrests have been made so far, they added.
