Traders body Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today said it will have a meeting with senior officials of several FMCG companies here on November 5 to discuss their concerns over product pricing by e-commerce players.
It said the meeting is aimed to make online retail business lucrative for one and all and also to remove element of unfair and unhealthy business practises and dominance.
Besides companies, it has also invited Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association and Indian Cellular Association.
"The meeting has been convened with an agenda for making a consensus on urging the government to frame specific rules and regulations for e-commerce business in India," CAIT said in a statement.
"Since we neither oppose to online retail format nor any online retail company, we have decided to have all round talks with every stakeholder," it added.
