There is a target to equip 1,000 handicapped persons during the camp, which is being organised with the association of the Afghanistan government, a release said here today.
A delegation from Afghanistan, headed by the director general of its Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Disabled Sayed Hameed Ullah Sadat, visited the BMVSS centre here yesterday and inspected the making of Jaipur Foot.
Founder and chief patron of BMVSS D R Mehta explained the technical aspects of the artificial limb to the delegation members.
The BMVSS held similar camps in Kabul in 1996, 1997, 2003 and 2004 with the support and assistance of the Indian government and benefited several hundred handicapped persons of Afghanistan.
