Carborundum Universal Q4 consolidated net dips 38.4%

Carborundum Universal, a Murugappa Group company, has recorded a 38.4 per cent decline in its fourth quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 43.42 crore.
The Chennai-based company had recorded consolidated net profit of Rs 70.53 crore during same period of previous year.
For the financial year ending March 31, 2016, net profit grew to Rs 154.35 crore, from Rs 138.25 crore in the previous year.
The consolidated total income from operations for the fourth quarter jumped to Rs 535.14 crore.
For the full financial year, total income from operations remained nearly flat at Rs 2,084.34 crore.
The company had declared interim dividend of Rs one per share and Rs 0.50 per share and the same were already paid, it said.
