Carcasses of oilve ridleys wash ashore

Carcassesof for olive ridleyshave been washed ashore in the coastal stretch between Vedaranyam and Kodiakarai in Nagapattinam district, officials said today.
Coastal areas of Nagapattinam coast attract a large number ofoliveridleysevery year during the nesting season, which begins in December and continues till March.
Each deadridleywas weighing around 50 kg.
