Cardamom futures fell by 0.38% to Rs 843.50 per kg today as the participants booked profits at prevailing levels amid adequate stocks in the physical market, on account of higher supplies.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for May contracts eased by Rs 3.30 or 0.38% to Rs 843.50 per kg with a business turnover of 318 lots.

The spice for delivery in June month fell by Rs 1.20 or 0.13% to Rs 858 per kg with a trading volume of 13 lots.

Marketmen said apart from profit booking by speculators at existing levels, ample stocks in the market on higher supplies put pressure on cardamom prices in futures market.
