Cardamom prices drifted further lower by 0.37 per cent to Rs 1,480 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on tepid demand against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March declined by Rs 5.50, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 1,480 per kg in business turnover of 13 lots.
Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market against ample stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept cardamom prices down at futures trade.
