A man, who was allegedly robbed by the December 16 gangrape case accused, has identified them and told a Delhi court that he was beaten up by them soon after he had boarded their bus and was later thrown out of the moving vehicle after they had snatched his mobile phone and cash.
Ram Adhar, carpenter, during his deposition in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash pointed towards each of the four accused present in the court room and said they are the same persons who had robbed and caused "injuries to me and later pushed me (out of the bus) in a manner that I would come under the wheels".
The carpenter in his statement said that the juvenile, who was also present in the bus, was not there in the court and he had seen the minor at Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) where he was called to testify in the case.
He said the juvenile had snatched his mobile phone, accused Mukesh was driving the bus and other four adults had assualted and looted him.
"On January 4, 2013, I had gone to JJ Board and there I identified the juvenile accused and I had stated to the IO that the juvenile accused along with the other co-accused had beaten me. The juvenile accused had looted my mobile phone.
"Out of those persons, Ram Singh (since deceased) was the person who had called out from the bus that the bus was going towards Nehru Place in south Delhi and on hearing that the bus was going towards Nehru Place, I had boarded the bus. Accused Mukesh was driver in the bus and soon after I boarded the bus, he started driving," he said in his statement.
"Accused Ram Singh and Akshay had pulled me inside and had beaten me. Vinay and Pawan had also beaten me and caught hold of my hands. Akshay had pressed my mouth," Ram Adhar, whose recording of statement remained inconclusive, said.
According to the police, on December 16, 2012, Ram Adhar was lured into the bus and robbed by the six accused before they gangraped the girl in a moving bus in south Delhi.
