Speaker Ram Niwas Goel accepted the notice and referred the matter to the privilege committee of the House. In his notice, Tyagi said the "politically motivated" charges against him had left him "traumatised".
Pushkar was not allowed to speak by Goel, however, he found support from Leader of the Opposition Vijender Gupta in his attempts to refute the charges.
"I have not threatened him. Whatever he is alleging are baseless and politically motivated. I am feeling distressed and traumatised over the whole episode. Even my children are having to face questions in school," Tyagi said.
Pushkar, who is an active member of Swaraj Abhiyan, recently released a copy of the draft Janlokpal Bill to the media before it was tabled in the Assembly, leading to huge uproar.
