Banjara Hills Police station Inspector K Srinivas said as per the complaint, the management and the staff of the channel were getting abusive and threatening calls from the actor"s fans.

A case was registered under IPC sections 469 (Forgery for purpose of harming reputation)," 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) against Kalyan, the Inspector said.

On April 21, scores of journalists had protested here against the actor for posting adverse comments against some media houses in his twitter account.

The actress had on April 7 stripped in public and staged a protest in front of the film chamber office here, alleging that local artistes were not being given enough opportunities in the industry.
