At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, castorseed prices for second contract May month fell by Rs 19, or 0.50 per cent to Rs 3,753 per quintal, with an open interest of 79,640 lots.
Most active first contract April month also lost by Rs 17, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 3,682 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,00,310 lots.
Maketmen attributed the fall to profit taking by operators in line with weak physical markets sentiment, where prices remained under pressure due to increased arrivals and withdrawal of support.
