 "Castorseed down 1.5% on weakening trend")
Castorseed prices were down by Rs 66 to Rs 4,208 per quintal in futures trading today as participants trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for October contracts dropped by Rs 66, or 1.54%, to Rs 4,208 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,22,510 lots.
Similarly, September contracts lost Rs 60, or 1.43%, at Rs 4,146 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,65,700 lots.
Besides, lower export demand dampened the trading sentiments to some extent, they added.
