Casualties feared in container-truck collision

Casualties are feared in an explosion that followed a collision between a truck and a container vehicle carrying inflammable chemical in Sangli district of western Maharashtra Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred on Vita-Myni road around 2 PM, a police official said, adding that a burnt body has been found on the spot.

The fire is still not extinguished as flames leapt high after the collision, he said, adding that the police feared the death toll may go up.
