Chana prices rose 1.21% to Rs 2,840 per quintal in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market in view of festive season.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in October rose by Rs 34, or 1.21% to Rs 2,840 per quintal with an open interest of 10,450 lots.
