Chavan meets parents of Latur girl who committed suicide

Maharashtra Congress president Ashok Chavan today met the family of Sheetal Vayaal, a 21 years old girl who committed suicide yesterday as her father did not have money to marry her off.
Chavan met the family at Bhise Wagholi village in Latur district.
He also announced a financial assistance of Rs one lakh to the family, Congress sources said.
Vayal had said in her suicide note that she was ending her life because her father, a farmer, did not have money to marry her off.
