"We have registered a case of cheating against the RTO Rajesh Gupta, RTO agent Vinod Jhalani and agent's employee Ishwar Malviya on the report filed by the district administration," Station Road Police Station Ajay Sarwan informed today.
Acting on a complaint yesterday evening, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sunil Jha and tehsildar Ajay Hinge raided Jhalani Yatayat Agency, run by Jhalani, and recovered several files of RTO office, licenses and registration cards of vehicles of different states.
A local resident Vaibhav Singh Jadaun had registered a complaint with district collector B Chandrashekhar that the RTO agent was asking Rs 2,300 for the registration of his vehicle while prescribed fee was Rs 600 following which action was initiated in the matter.
