I-League team Chennai City FC's Soosairaj M has signed a two-year contract with Indian Super League side Jamshedpur FC.
He signed the contract for an undisclosed amount with the Jamshedpur franchise following the agreement of transfer for the clubs for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 period, said a press note.
The 23-year old Soosairaj, captain of Chennai City FC team, impressed during this year's I-League and scored three goals. The team finished eighth with 19 points with four wins, seven draws and seven losses from 18 games.
Another Chennai City player Nandhakumar had signed for Delhi Dynamos earlier in the season.
Soosairaj said he was grateful for the support extended by Chennai City FC and its president Rohit Ramesh.
"I am extremely grateful to my team and Rohit sir for supporting me through this journey. This club has given me the recognition and support I needed. Feels good to be identified by ISL teams and especially Jamshedpur FC. I hope to learn a lot and move forward in my career," he added.
Ramesh said he was happy for Soosairaj and hoped he will learn more under the experienced Jamshedpur FC coach Steve Coppell.
"I am very happy for Soosairaj. I wish him the very best on joining Jamshedpur FC. Hopefully he will learn more under Ahmed Ishfaq and Steve Coppell," he added.
