Child killed as floor of school bus collapses

In a tragic incident, a 9-year-old boy was killed when he came under the tyres of a school bus after the floor of the moving bus caved in, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when Dhruv, a student of Bajaj Public School in Maksudapur sugar mill area, was returning home in his school bus, police said.
The floor of the bus caved in and he was crushed to death, they said.
Later, locals jammed the road and forced closure of markets to protest against the incident, alleging that the buses of the school were in poor condition and that they had earlier asked the school administration to replace them.

Police is probing the matter.
