"Gujarat government is committed to enhancing the child- tracking System up to the higher secondary level for grading, progress and proper evaluation of the children studying in government schools across the state," Patel said while addressing 'Gunotsav' programme organised at Kukarmunda village in Nikhar Taluka in Tapi district.
The three-day 'Gunotsav' drive, launched on Thursday, was aimed at improving the quality of education in state-run schools.
As per this system, the school children can be tracked at particular intervals on the basis of their attendance in schools and their participation in various activities.
Patel said Kukarmunda village, which falls on the border of neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, will become a taluka soon saying, "the state government has given its in-principle nod for the purpose and an official announcement will be made soon.
