She also said Gujarat will establish an "international- level commercial court" in the near future as the state government has got the sanction for it.
"The state government is conscious and sensitive towards the care, protection, rehabilitation and social integration of juveniles under Juvenile Justice Act 2015... In the current year Bal Gokulam will be established in Rajkot and Ahmedabad," she was quoted as saying at a joint conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts here, in an official statement.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Law Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja advocated for holding morning and evening courts and appointment of retired judges for speedy disposal of mounting cases.
Jadeja said evening courts in Gujarat were "very successful" with resolving over 9 lakh cases.
He said the state government will increase the fee of advocates empanelled with the District Legal Service Authority to attract competent advocates.
Gujarat government has taken many steps to reduce the pendency of cases especially in subordinate courts by proper allocation of funds, providing sufficient physical infrastructure, increasing the strength of judges, providing adequate manpower, creation of the special courts under the various Acts and optimum use of ICT programme, it said.
The state government has also launched various informal schemes to reduce the flow of cases to judicial courts like Nari Adalat, Tirth Gram Yojana, Samras Gram Scheme and Lok Samvad Setu, it said.
