Chouhan urges students to contribute to development of MP

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivarj Singh Chouhan has appealed to students to contribute towards development of the state.
"Students and talented people should contribute for the progress of the state and the country," Chouhan said.
He was addressing a programme where he distributed laptops to students who secured top positions in the merit list of Class XII in various districts, under 'Meghavi Vidhyarthi Protsahan Scheme' at Lal Parade ground here last evening.
Nearly Rs 53 lakh was e-transferred for laptops in the accounts of 17,196 other students who obtained over 85 per cent marks in class XII exam of MP Board of Secondary Education.

On the occasion, the students also took selfies with the CM who urged the children to work hard and earn name and fame across the world. The progress of children will move their parents, state and the country ahead, Chouhan said.
Chouhan also said the government is making efforts to provide them resources, facilities and opportunities.

The state government has taken a pledge that not a single daughter and son of the state should be deprived of education because of unavailability of funds.
Chouhan informed that a scheme has been formulated to realise the pledge. Under this, the fees will be borne by the state government of those students who get admitted to higher education institutes and are unable to pay for it.

In order to make the scheme suitable and viable, suggestions are being sought from the students by the Chief Minister on his Facebook page, twitter handle and official portal to express their expectations and desires.
On the occasion, Chouhan discussed with the students about their professional passion. He said help is being provided to people who wish to set up their own enterprises and want to give employment to others.
Also, venture capital fund has been established for those who wish to realise their new and innovative thoughts.
Shares of such companies working with new approach and thoughts will be purchased from this fund.

Once the company establishes, the government will sell these shares and invest the fund in another company.
Chouhan also provided bicycles to a few students.
