The 45-year-old "Veep" helmer has signed on to make "Nasty Women", which is the reboot of the 1988 comedy, reported Variety.
The new take of the film, which originally starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine, will now see actresses Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson in the lead roles.
The contemporary film, based on the script penned by Jac Schaeffer, features two women from different backgrounds, who come together to con a tech prodigy out of his money.
Addison has also shown his acting in episodes of shows such as "Doctor Who" and "Skins", among others.
