Christmas celebrated in Bihar
Press Trust of India Patna Midnight services in Churches heralded the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas that was celebrated with gaiety in Bihar today.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wished people on the occasion and prayed that the spirit and warmth of Christmas bestow enduring peace and harmony.
The state capital was decked up for Christmas. Many government and private buildings and streets in the city were illuminated with Christmas trees, colourful candles and festoons.
People gathered at Bishop church in large numbers to offer prayer.
Principals of leading missionary schools of the state capital had met Kumar on Monday evening and exchanged Christmas greetings.
