prevailing in Rajasthan, Churu remained coldest in the state on the fourth consecutive day, with a minimum temperature of 7.0 degree celsius last night, about 3 degrees below normal, a MeT report said.
Mercury kept a downward trend at most places due to cold winds sweeping the state, the report said.
Sri Ganganagar recorded a minimum of 8.7 deg C, followed by Pilani 10.5, Bikaner 12.7, Jaipur 14.2, and Ajmer 16.5 deg C. Elsewhere the minimum temperature was in the range of 17 to 18.5 deg C, whereas Jalore recorded a maximum temperature of 34 deg C and Jaipur recorded the maximum temperature of 31.2 deg C in last 34 hours.
Cold conditions would aggravate by weekend in the state, the MeT forecast said.
